Bespoke AI systems · UK businesses

Give AI a useful job. Set clear limits.

I build AI systems around a specific business problem. That could be answering questions from approved service information, helping staff find a procedure, or turning an enquiry into something a person can review. You do not need an AI receptionist to get value from AI.

Choose the job before choosing the tool

A website assistant can help visitors understand your services and pass an enquiry to you. An internal assistant can help staff find the right process or prepare a draft. A tailored tool can combine a customer question with information your business already holds.

The point is to make the next step easier. If the task is a straightforward calculation or a fixed rule, I use ordinary code. AI is not a substitute for a clear process.

What the build includes

Accuracy needs testing and oversight

AI can make mistakes. I do not promise a system that never gives a wrong answer. We limit the information it uses, test important questions and decide where a person must check the result. High-stakes advice, binding prices and unusual customer issues should not be left to an unchecked answer.

Before launch, you review how it behaves. Afterwards, we agree what needs monitoring, who handles escalations and how changes to your services or prices reach the system.

Your data and existing tools

We identify what information the system needs, where it is stored and which suppliers process it. Access and retention are agreed for the actual project. Do not assume every AI service keeps data in the UK or uses it in the same way.

Start the conversation with anonymised examples. If an integration is needed, I check your software plan, permissions and supported connection before including it in the quote. See how the surrounding workflow is built.

Costs and what you provide

An AI chatbot is included in the published Momentum guide, £3,000 to £5,000 setup plus £500 a month. A larger AI system may need a custom scope. Model usage, messaging, supplier subscriptions and any limits need to be clear in the written quote.

Bring the questions people ask, the answers you approve, information the system must not disclose and examples of when it should hand over. You also need someone who can review and keep those answers current.

Project payments are 50% up front and 50% on completion. The monthly service has a six-month minimum, then rolls with 30 days' notice. There is a 30-day warranty from go-live. Once paid for, the agreed build is supplied under a perpetual licence; your own materials remain yours. Hosting, support, supplier subscriptions and reusable underlying tools have separate terms.

Read prices and commitments, or work out whether AI is needed at all.

Questions worth asking

Is this only for large companies?

No. Fit depends on the recurring problem, the quality of the information and whether the expected benefit justifies the build and ongoing cost.

Can it answer questions about my own business?

Yes, that can be the purpose of the build. We use information you approve, define its limits and test representative questions. It still needs a route to a person when it cannot answer reliably.

Do you provide an AI phone demo?

The current website offer focuses on websites, workflow automation and bespoke AI tools. Voice is only considered after the specific use case, reliability and supporting systems have been checked. Book a call with me to discuss the problem.
